The Princess Rules by Philippa Gregory - reviewed by Megan

Princess Florizella may live in a classic fairy-tale world, but she's noo ordinary princess...

These three stories were originally published under the titles: Princess Florizella, Princess Florizella and the Wolves and Princess Florizella and the Giant. These were originally dedicated to her daughter but have been reimagined in this edition which she has dedicated to her grandchildren.

"...perfect for newish readers who are gaining confidence and ready for a challenge" The Times Review
"These are enchanting, simply written stories that have lost none of their pertinence - and this timely new edition deserves to win Florizella another generation of admirers." 5 star review in the Saturday Telegraph

I liked that when all of the other princesses were trying to follow the rules, Florizella still tried to be herself. I also like how Cecilia talks as it is so different and special. I think that children aged 6-11 will enjoy this book, as all the characters are funny, kind and thoughtful. I would recommend this book to anyone who thinks boys are better than girls, or girls are better than boys because this book tells you another story - we are equal!
